Project CharterRoof Types

Description

  • Habitat for Humanity has the goal of providing four different aspects with each house they build which include:
    durability of the houses
    the health of the occupants
    the Sustainability of the houses
the low cost of each house
Because of this, it is imperative for Habitat for Humanity and its partners to constantly be reevaluating the design of each of their houses to help maintain these four goals.
Therefore I will be reevaluating their choose of roofing by comparing the leading roofing types so as to find the most cost effective type.

Objectives

  • Determine the most energy and cost efficient roofing style
  • We shall address issues such as, but not limited to:
    • cost per square foot
    • time before the roof will need to be replaced
    • how each type will effect the heating and cooling of the house

Outcomes or Deliverables

  • A detailed analysis of the different types of roofing including the pros and cons of each and a suggested roofing type to use.
